1. Dialogue: "Strangers on a train"

Read the conversation between two strangers, Kate and Leo, on a train.

Kate: Excuse me, is this seat free?

Leo: Yes, it is. I saw you at the station. You looked worried.

Kate: Oh, I thought I lost my ticket! But I found it. I bought it online this morning.

Leo: That's good. Where did you travel from today?

Kate: I came from a small town. I visited my grandparents. We had a wonderful time. We went to a nice restaurant for dinner.

Leo: That sounds lovely. I went to a concert last night. I saw my favorite band.

Kate: Really? Did you get home late?

Leo: Yes, I did. I got a taxi home at midnight. I was very tired, but it was a great night.

Kate: It sounds like you had fun!
